Research & Development

Infoterra France deeply invests in research programmes that are conducted by more than 50 engineers and scientists, all experts in image processing, computer sciences and cartography.

Our focused efforts:

  designing and developing systems to automate image processing,
improve quality and broaden our photogrammetric product range;
  developing innovative remote sensing techniques to improve the use of Earth Observation data, especially for land cover and environmental analysis;
  defining specifications for future space or airborne acquisition systems with the French (CNES), German (DLR) or European (ESA) space agencies, as well as with key private leaders.

Infoterra France is a major actor within the European Global Monitoring for Environment and Security (GMES), the Initiative of European Commission (EC) and the European Space Agency (ESA) organisations, and is lead co-ordinator for the RISK-EOS and PREVIEW projects. We are also deeply involved in the BOSS4GMES, GEOLAND, GSE Land Information Services plan that address environmental issues.
