Its content includes the main crop production and schedule components - stages, acreages, standing condition, expected final yields and risks to yields and acreages. It presents the most accurate estimates available to the basic when, where, how much, and how sure questions regarding the geography and schedule dynamics of the crop’s season. These elements have superior temporal and spatial resolution – daily statistics stepped down to the county level – compared to the USDA-NASS.

Estimates in the CropForecaster system are produced by an assembly of advanced weather and satellite data processing models that are second to none. They combine many innovative agrometeorological and image processing techniques and strategies. The full array of information for the remainder of the season is updated daily as new weather observations, forecasts, and satellite images become available.

Data for the season-to date are retained in the system so user’s can view and analyze estimates of next week’s quantities, end-of season, or change between any selected pair of dates.
