Disaster and emergency management

Disaster and emergency management: RiskFrame.

Built on several years of research & development by EADS Astrium and Infoterra France in the field of information systems, RISKFRAME covers every phase of disaster and emergency management. Including a set of functionalities that closely meet user’s needs for disaster and emergency management, such as geographic data and meta-data management, tactical situation management, complete interface with prevision centres, resources table management, inter actors communication, and many more.

Infoterra France is the prime contractor of the RISK-EOS Stage 2 project, supported by ESA, in which a European consortium advances and implements the disaster and emergency management applications and geoinformation services developed during the first stage of this project.

Infoterra France is also the coordinator of the PREVIEW project, within the 6th Framework Programme, which proposes a European-wide approach for the development, deployment and operation of new and enhanced information services for disaster and emergency management. Service providers, users, manufacturers, operators and scientists aim to harmonise the tools used in order to obtain better forecasts and more efficient risk management.
