ISTAR, the geospatial product and services innovator and teams from Astrium Earth Observation Group, have joined to form Infoterra France, a leading provider of geo-information products and services for managing the development, environment and security of our changing world.

Infoterra has worked in close co-operation with government and local authorities for many years to build industry-designed products that optimise town planning and urban services projects and 3D world map is one of the applications we did for them.

Over the years, Infoterra has understood the image processing chain assets that minimize human effort. Automating the process means being able to process digital mapping photography on larger surfaces, faster, and at a cheaper cost, while improving the quality of the end product. Infoterra guarantees a standard, predictable output by exceeding and mastering the whole data process of digital mapping.

Finally the company has especially taken a leading role in the GMES risk management services through two complementary projects, under the EURORISK banner: Infoterra France is the prime contractor of the RISK-EOS Stage 2 project, supported by ESA, in which a European consortium advances and implements the flood risk and fire risk related applications and geoinformation services developed during the first stage of this project.
