Precision farming

Infoterra France develops precision farming

Infoterra France evolves with renowned agronomic institutes and develops FARMSTAR, a crop monitoring service which provides farmers with guidance and recommendation at the parcel level for precision farming. FARMSTAR uses both satellite and airborne data to provide timely field-level maps for crops such as winter wheat, barley, oilseed rape, sugar beet and potatoes. The map products are designed to provide information at critical growth stages to guide the use of inputs such as plant growth regulator and nitrogen, and helps skilful precision farming management.

Infoterra expertise service is based on a unique process combining satellite imagery, agronomic models and meteorological data for precision farming. This expertise service has directed the project of a number of services and has led to the development of series of recommendations and advices for farmers to monitor the precision farming at the parcel level during the whole growth season.

Infoterra’s unique data processing technology is designed to produce precision farming and provides accurate representation of the city’s ground & above-ground features: wooded areas, buildings, bridges and other structures, and detailed building elevation, height information, vector and raster formats.
